How to Get to and Around Hua Hin and Cha-Am

There are several ways to travel to Hua Hin and Cha-Am, including by private car, van, or train. 

By private car

From Bangkok, you can take Phetkasem Road (Highway 4) or drive through Highway 35 (Rama II Road) and then continue on Phetkasem Road to Hua Hin and Cha-Am. 

Public transportation

If you prefer public transportation, you can catch a bus at the Bangkok Bus Terminal (Southern Bus Terminal). Traveling by train is also a popular option. You can board a train on the Southern Line at Bangkok Station or Thonburi Station. All trains stop at Hua Hin Station, but only certain trains stop at Cha-Am Station.

How to get around Hua Hin

To get around Hua Hin and Cha-Am, you can use tuk-tuks, rental cars, or motorcycle taxis, which are available at various points throughout the city. 

Additionally, there are local buses and songthaews (shared taxis) that can conveniently take you to various tourist attractions. Hua Hin and Cha-Am are two districts located in the western part of Thailand, just 200 kilometers from Bangkok, with a travel time of about 2 hours and 40 minutes. The distance between Cha-Am and Hua Hin is only 25 kilometers, and along the route between these two districts, there are many tourist attractions.

 

Due to their seaside location and proximity to the capital, Hua Hin and Cha-Am make for a family-friendly vacation spot with beautiful attractions, perfect for relaxation. You can also switch things up and engage in some activities, you have the options of waterparks, ATV,  ziplining, hiking a cave, and waterfalls.
